Golden West Section Chapters

The Golden West Section includes two local Chapters, the Mother Lode and Golden Empire Chapters, and the GWS Young Professionals Group.  The chapters/group provide activities and training sessions for members who reside in their local areas.

Mother Lode Chapter (A&WMA-MLC)

The Mother Lode Chapter provides local programs to members in the Sacramento Valley.  The Chapter holds its meetings primarily in Sacramento.  The Mother Lode Chapter has sponsored a series of conferences on Air Toxics, which has gained national recognition.  Additionally, the Chapter holds dinner meetings and conferences with speakers discussing timely environmental issues.

Golden Empire Chapter (A&WMA-GEC)

The Golden Empire Chapter provides local programs to members in the San Joaquin Valley.  The Chapter's activities are generally in Bakersfield and Fresno.  GEC provides a series of dinner meetings and specialty conferences and provides its own scholarship program.

Young Professionals Group (A&WMA-GWS-YPG)

GWS sponsors a Young Professionals Group (YPG) within our section.  The purpose of the YPG is to foster a sense of community and support for up-and-coming air and waste management professionals in the Bay Area and throughout Northern California.
